Creation of the GLOBUS network
In 2007 the very first federated network of companies will be created. This network will be called GLOBUS, to express its openness to the whole world and its displayed modernity.
Driven by a common desire to offer a global and especially unique insurance service to international customers, some major players in African insurance will create in 2007 the first federated network of companies.
This network will be called GLOBUS, to express its openness to the world and its modernity displayed.
ACTIVA ASSURANCES (Cameroon), LA LOYALE ASSURANCES (Ivory Coast), SONAR (Burkina Faso), and AGC (Republic of Congo) will lay the foundations of this new building on the African market. The work of Douala will lead to the official creation of the GLOBUS Network under the legal form of an Economic Interest Group (EIG).
The Logo will be chosen and the administrators will take their pilgrim's staff to rally other companies and especially to convince the European Risk Managers on the reliability of this platform.
- 2008
GLOBUS Network expansion - Phase 1
Gradually the Network will expand and in 2008 it will have up to 27 members.
- 2009
GLOBUS Network expansion - Phase 2
The Network keeps on expanding and in 2009 it will have up to 30 members.
- 2017
Celebration of the 10th anniversary of GLOBUS
The Globus network celebrated its 10th anniversary in October 2017.
The events took place in Paris on October 19th and in Accra on November 2nd.This growth will be accompanied by a restructuring of the Network, whose Board of Directors will be enlarged to 6 members.
To harmonize technical platforms and reinsurance as well as to continuously improve the quality of our service, many meetings and training sessions are organized within the Network.

50 African countries covered
The Network extended to 45 members and offers solutions in nearly 50 African countries
This growth will be accompanied by a restructuring of the Network, whose Board of Directors will be enlarged to 6 members.

- 2019
GLOBUS reinforced its financial reliability and adopted a new brand identity
The financial reliability of the Globus Network is reinforced by the existence of a common reinsurer, (Globus Re), who retrocedes to the world's largest reinsurers. In addition, network members are invited to submit to financial rating. Thus, the Network's pioneers will all obtain an "A" rating.
A complete overhaul of the graphic charter and the creation of new communication media were carried out in order to consolidate the brand image of the network and better identify it with its customers and partners
